Sumire and K are friends and book lovers and they often debate on books. How can you not be envious of that?
Sumire is described as being inspired by the Beat Generation, which is a literary movement and defined by works that explored and influenced American culture and politics in the post-war era. The core group of Beat Generation authors are Herbert Huncke, Ginsberg, Burroughs, Lucien Carr, and Kerouac.
The group reminded me of Buraiha, a group of Japanese writers composed of Osamu Dazai, Sakaguchi Ango, Sakunosuke Oda, and Kazuo Dan. The term Buraiha means “hooligan” school of writers as the authors often stray away from orthodox literary styles.
